KNIGHT OF THE MONTH
RICHARD FARINA
by: Mike Byrne - Recorder

Patti & Richard Farina
Rich Farina joined our brotherhood of the Knights of Columbus, Bishop William R. Johnson Council #9487 on January 23, 2001. Now a third degree, an active volunteer and participant, Rich is always looking for opportunities to put his values and faith into action
Rich studied Aviation Management and Flight Technology at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, in Daytona Beach Florida, which led to a 40-year career in Aerospace with both Lockheed and Boeing.
Born and raised in Bellmore, New York, 33 miles east of downtown Manhattan. Rich was an avid Met fan and was there to watch them win the World Series in 1969
His dad and 3 uncles, one of whom was pastor at St. Anthony in Woonsocket Rhode Island; Father Andrew Farina, were Knights
Opportunities to volunteer, give back, and assist others in need, in our church and community, and the strong and meaningful faith and brotherhood is what attracted Rich to our council.
Since retirement, Rich and Patti, his wife of 36 years, have enjoyed travel and spending time with family and friends
Rich looks forward to being able to offer more time to our council and is always looking for ways to help.
Congratulations Rich.
