Brothers,
Greetings and may God Bless all of you and your families as we enter into Holy Week. There can be no Easter without Good Friday…
March was another busy month, thank you to all who Lent a hand… Activities in March included the Men’s Renewal, which is a wonderful way to bring male parishioners closer to Jesus Christ and His Church. Not coincidentally, it has become a great avenue for turning those parishioners into brother Knights. Coffee & Donuts went well as usual, and our annual St. Patrick’s Day Dinner was a hit (we ran out of corned beef!). Earlier in the day of our St. Pat’s dinner, the Knights provided drinks and refreshments for those attending the Gospel of Matthew seminar put on by Fr. Timothy Peters, Professor of Biblical Theology at Saint John’s Seminary. Thank you brothers John Teeter, Mark Angel and Dave Atkins for your hard work on that. The Exemplification on the16th was done exceptionally well and was a moving experience for me personally, and for a lot of our new brother Knights. Heartfelt thanks to our wonderful Exemplification Committee. Our Campus Cleanup on the 21st really spiffed out the church grounds for the fast-approaching Easter. Saturday Recycling on the 28th was well attended by brother Knights, but our parishioners have still not got back in the habit of coming to the church in full force.

She chose the name Teresa, inspired by St. Thérèse de Lisieux, the patron saint of missionaries. She founded the Missionaries of Charity in 1950 to serve the poorest of the poor in the slums of Calcutta, India. Her order grew to over 5000 nuns, serving the poor in 138 countries. For her work among the poorest, she received the Nobel Peace Prize. She was beatified by St. Pope John Paul the Great in 2003 and was canonized by Pope Francis in 2016.
May almighty God Bless and protect us and our families. St. Teresa of Calcutta, pray for us! Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us!
