Congratulations to the Hickey family for earning this recognition. Their humble volunteer work to support our Council so many times is most admirable. Time and talent at its best!!!
Siobhan and Michael Hickey
Michael is a 4th degree with the Knights of Columbus, dedicated over 17 years of service to the Orange County Boys Scout, contributed his time to the Santiago Burrito Ministry, Annual Festival, Men’s Retreat, and Camino setup and takedown. Additionally, he assists with supporting various functions and charities of the parish and council. His dedication reflects a deep commitment to faith, service, and community.
Michael’s wife of 35 years, Siobhan, has also been active in scouting. She serves as a Girl Scout of Orange County Travel Trainer and Gold Award Liaison, supporting both girls and troop leaders as they grow in leadership and service.
Michael works as a Maritime Surveyor within the Port of Los Angeles and Long Beach, while Siobhan teaches at Back Bay High School in Newport Mesa Unified School district. Their professional and volunteer lives alike show their devotion to building others.
The Hickey Family has been blessed to share their faithful journey as parishioners of Santiago de Compostela for over 28 years, with their children, Sinead and Sion. All of them have participated in the Renewal Retreats and they find strength in their parish family.
The Hickey family are grateful to call Santiago de Compostela their home, and look forward to continuing their commitment to service, Faith, and Community.
