The Knights of Columbus have more than 16,000 councils headquartered in Catholic parishes around the world.

Knights put their faith into action every day to make life better in their parishes and communities.

We offer men the opportunity to grow in their faith while helping others and supporting the Church, and to become better Catholics, sons, husbands, and fathers.

The Knights of Columbus annually contributes nearly $200 million to worthy charitable causes around the world, and our members donate nearly 100 million hours of their time.

Our founder – Blessed Michael McGivney – has been beatified by the Church.  People around the world seek his intercession through prayer.

Knights receive 12 issues annually of Columbia, the world's largest Catholic family magazine, have access to top-ranked Knights of Columbus insurance products, and are part of a great group of Catholic men who help them put their faith into action.

Knights at Bishop Johnson Council 9487 participate in many activities including a golf tournament, food drives, blood drives, community-building parish events, fundraisers for various local charities, and much more.

Membership in the Knights of Columbus is open to practical Catholic men in union with the Holy See, who are at least 18 years old.  A "practical Catholic" is one who accepts the teaching authority of the Catholic Church on matters of faith and morals, aspires to live in accord with the precepts of the Catholic Church, and is in good standing in the Catholic Church.
